Assistant Professor

SANKEN, Osaka University

Biography

Masaharu Somiya is an assistant professor at SANKEN, Osaka University. He is interested in the drug delivery using bio-inspired nanomaterials, such as viruses and extracellular vesicles. He is also interested in the interaction between nanoparticles and biological systems. Starting from February 2022 he is visiting Neil King’s laboratory at Institute for Protein Design, University of Washington, Seattle, to study protein design for drug delivery.
